At Better Leeds Communities, we recognise the potential of families and the areas in which they live, the importance of fostering good relationships in childhood and of social responsibility and working together.
We offer a wide range of activities and events aimed at building on these values, designed to break cycles of deprivations, poor physical and mental health and low self-esteem.
Our activities are tailor-made to reflect the diversity within communities and we take a non-judgmental, open approach to help families overcome any difficulties they may be facing.
Building A Stronger Burley
Are you proud of your home city? Do you see yourself as a future leader?
Building A Stronger Burley aims to strengthen pride and community cohesion and supports local people to develop a vision for where they live.
It offers training for residents to help them become future community leaders and develop the skills they need to do it, including teamwork, planning and delivering events and running community groups.
Community Leaders also host events celebrating the wealth of diverse cultures in Burley and set up group activities to develop skills, encourage inclusion and give opportunities to build friendships.
