New Chapter will work with people living in Burley, Hyde Park and Headingley who have financial challenges and support them to become more independent.
We will work with people we are already in contact with from our Debt Services and Community work, as well as taking referrals from the CRP and inviting self – referrals.
Work will include both One-to-One and Peer Group Support sessions facilitated by staff to identify personal goals, develop coping strategies and plan for a more positive future; with accessible tools/tips around building confidence and resilience shared and practiced.
Our experience in co-production will help people organise and hold additional social sessions owned by those that want to be involved to further increase community connection and cohesion whilst practicing COOVID-19 pandemic emerging best practices in a safe, welcoming, and trusted environment to provide confidence, assurance, and company, such as a 'lunch club', or a 'teatime team'.
The project is funded by Hyde Park Source and will run from July to December 2021.
