Better Leeds Communities wants to make Leeds a better place to live for everyone.
Established as a charity in 1983, we strive to improve employability, provide sustained support to families and reduce child poverty in our city’s communities.
We do this by offering a range of services citywide including advice, activities, courses, and venue hire.
We offer an open door to anyone who needs our support or space – and everyone we come into contact with is treated with dignity and in complete confidence.

Our vision is of a city where people are healthy, happy, safe, prosperous, and successful; where communities work together to make life rewarding and enjoyable for everyone.
We want to help Leeds residents achieve their full potential by raising aspirations, removing barriers, and building the skills that lead to a better life.
To achieve this, we will:
Support families and individuals to be healthy, active, engaged, and able to build positive relationships with their neighbours and communities.
Provide an advice service that helps people out of poverty and to become more self-reliant.
Create activities and new experiences to bring families together across the community.
Provide inspiring opportunities for people to meet others, develop new skills and get involved in community life.
